Exclusive: Millwall accept bid from top League One club for Tyler Burey

Millwall have accepted a bid from a top League One club for winger Tyler Burey.

The former AFC Wimbledon youngster looks set to leave the South London club this summer.

Some Championship clubs have also expressed an interest in Burey, who made 26 appearances last season.

Burey is weighing up what options are open to him.

He scored a 90th-minute winner in the October home game against West Bromwich Albion but the second half of the campaign was disrupted by injury. He had more than three months absent from Gary Rowett’s first-team squad before returning in the 3-2 win at Blackpool, Millwall’s penultimate match.

The 22-year-old was signed from the Dons in July 2019 and initially went into the Lions’ development set-up.

Burey scored three goals in nine games on loan for Hartlepool before a hamstring problem curtailed his stay.

The direct and pacey attacker has scored three goals in 58 matches for Millwall.

  • No loss to Millwall – Burey had a really bad attitude! He needed to put as much effort into his match performances as he did his sulking. Drastically needs to grow up. He might get a game in the North Kent Sunday league!!
