Fleetwood Town 0 AFC Wimbledon 1 – Steve Seddon picks up where he left off from last loan as he fires home winner
BY DAVE HUNT-JACKSON
AFC Wimbledon stunned Fleetwood to grab their first win of the new campaign in a close encounter at the Highbury Stadium.
In what was on paper their toughest test so far the Dons not only held on to a lead at the third time of asking but also kept a clean sheet after sharing 12 goals in their previous two matches.
To cap a fabulous afternoon for his South London charges, Glyn Hodges saw his newest signing, returning loanee Steve Seddon grab the 41st minute winner.
The Birmingham defender took up where he left off during the Great Escape firing home after a one-two with captain Joe Pigott as the Dons moved up to eighth place in the League One table.
