Former AFC Wimbledon players make donations after Plough Lane flooding

Former AFC Wimbledon players Jack Currie and Lee Brown have both made donations towards the JustGiving page to help the club get games back on at Plough Lane following the extensive flooding and damage to the pitch and stadium.

Currie, 22, progressed through the club’s academy and made 95 first-team appearances before joining Oxford in the summer.

Fellow defender Brown, 34, left Wimbledon in the summer to retire from football. He made 77 appearances for the South Londoners.

Both players donated £200, with Brown donating £1 more to beat Currie’s total.

Ex-loanee Kasey McAteer, who spent the second half of the 2022-23 season with the Dons, also donated £100.

The JustGiving page is closing in on £35,000 worth of donations, with a £50k total set to help the club in their efforts to repair the damage.
