Former Crystal Palace winger lands short-term Championship deal
Former Crystal Palace winger Yannick Bolasie has joined Swansea on a short-term deal.
The 34-year-old has been a free agent since leaving Turkish club Caykur Rizespor at the end of last season.
He has penned a deal until the end of the January transfer window with the Swans.
“He’s been in, he’s looked good. It’ll be a two-month deal and we’ll see how it goes from there,” Swansea head coach Michael Duff said last week.
“We need bodies in the building, we need help. We’re not in a position where we can cherry pick the exact player we want.”
Bolasie joined Palace in 2012 under Dougie Freedman and made 144 appearances for the club, winning promotion to the Premier League and reaching an FA Cup final.
The former Plymouth winger was sold to Everton for £25million in 2016.
He has also had spells at Aston Villa, Middlesbrough and Sporting Lisbon since leaving Selhurst Park.
