Former Millwall and Wimbledon defender lands non-league move
Former Millwall and AFC Wimbledon defender Alex Pearce has joined Isthmian League South Central side Leatherhead FC.
The 35-year-old left the Dons on a free transfer at the end of last season and joined Bracknell Town.
Pearce, who spent a number of years with Reading, made 81 appearances for Millwall and captained the side under Neil Harris and Gary Rowett.
He joined Wimbledon as Johnnie Jackson’s first signing and featured 31 times across two seasons.
Republic of Ireland international Pearce was placed in interim charge of Bracknell earlier in the season after boss Jordan Ive left.
Pearce has also had spells with Derby, Norwich and Southampton.
