Fulham land Dan James on loan from Leeds and permanent deal for Benfica’s Vinicius

Fulham have announced the signings of Dan James and Vinicius to end an impressive transfer window.

The Whites completed the signing of James on a season-long loan from Leeds United – just a year after he moved to Elland Road for £25million from Manchester United.

James said: “I’m looking forward to it. I’ve spoken to the gaffer and it feels like a great fit for me, and I can’t wait to get started.”

Marco Silva’s side moved quick and also secured the signing of Vinicius from Benfica for an undisclosed fee.

The 27-year-old has signed for Fulham on a three-year deal with a club option of a further 12 months.

After signing, the former Tottenham Hotspur loanee said: “I’m really happy to be here. I think it’s a big club with good people, so I’m really, really happy.

“I’m happy to be back in the Premier League again. I’m more experienced now and I think I can help the Club.”

But there was also departures for Fulham as Paulo Gazzaniga signed for Girona on a season-long loan whilst Terence Kongolo signed for Le Havre for the 2022-23 campaign.

Fulham were extremely busy on deadline day bringing in four players after Layvin Kurzawa and Willian also signed for the Craven Cottage outfit.
