Fulham player ratings from 1-1 draw with Crystal Palace – Iwobi struggles but Muniz back among the goals as points are shared

A late Jeffrey Schlupp strike denied Fulham a late-season victory against Crystal Palace on Saturday in a 1-1 draw at Craven Cottage.

Here are Dan Evans’ player ratings from the game.

 Bernd Leno – 6

Did not get a sniff of Schlupp’s equaliser, and no blame can be placed on him. Made a couple of good stops after Fulham had gone ahead.

Timothy Castagne – 7

Found the perfect delivery for the Rodrigo Muniz goal. Was not given the same test down his side as Michael Olise and Daniel Munoz gave Antonee Robinson down the other side.

Issa Diop – 6

Nervy start saw him almost let Jean-Philippe Mateta in with his first touch. Recovered well, making two tackles, two interceptions and four clearances. Made his case to be Tosin’s long-term successor.

Calvin Bassey – 7

Classy display. Won all four of his duels and made three tackles to go with it.

Antonee Robinson – 6

Given a tough time in the first half as Palace channelled most of their attacks down his side. Probably was not given enough support from those in front of him.

Harrison Reed – 6

Busy display from the stand-in captain. Found it hard to influence things in the first half but still managed two tackles and helped Fulham keep Palace in their own half after the break.

Joao Palhinha – 7

Was probably left with too much to do by his team-mates in the first half as the visitors dominated midfield. Still put in five tackles and two interceptions, and created a chance for Muniz with a nicely weighted ball over the top. Surprisingly replaced in the second half.

Andreas Pereira – 7

Set Castagne away down the right with a nice pass in the build-up to the goal, and would have registered one of the assists of the season had Bobby De Cordova-Reid finished following his outside of the foot pass.

Alex Iwobi – 5

Unable to have any major impact on the game throughout.

Rodrigo Muniz – 7

Found it really hard to influence things early on as the three Crystal Palace centre-backs took it in turns to challenge him for aerial balls. Became more involved as Fulham improved though and found himself in the perfect position to head home Castagne’s cross and open the scoring.

Bobby De Cordova-Reid – 5

Missed a decent chance to double the Fulham lead, replaced by Willian midway through the second half.

Subs:

Willian – 6

A welcome return for the Brazilian. Made Fulham’s left side more threatening.

Sasa Lukic – 6

Busy in the Palhinha position at the base of midfield when he came on, making three tackles in his half hour on the pitch.
