‘I won’t change my mindset’ – No time to dwell for QPR boss after Hull defeat

QPR head coach Marti Cifuentes is refusing to dwell on last weekend’s 3-0 loss at Hull City which dragged the west Londoners back into the Championship scrap.

Rangers are three points above the bottom three and now have two successive home matches – starting with Preston North End on Saturday – as they bid to end a winless three-match spell.

QPR, who have collected one point from a possible nine, then follow up by hosting Leeds United on April 26.

He said: “I won’t change my mindset about these players, or my belief in this team just because of one bad result.

“We have three more finals – it’s (survival) in our hands.

“I don’t have time to complain, I need to focus on how we can win the next game.

“The help of our supporters, playing at home, is going to be very important.

“Hull were very good, they showed quality and real accuracy when they reached the final third.

“The first goal was class, it changed the game, the third one as well – there is nothing more to say other than we need to move on quickly and recover.

“We need to keep on competing as we have been doing over the last five months.”
