It would take “big numbers” for Millwall to consider star player exits this month – as boss Rowett “not aware” of any serious offers for marquee men

Gary Rowett says Millwall have not had any serious bids for their players.

Aston Villa had been linked with Jed Wallace, who has been in sparkling form for the South London club.

Centre-back Jake Cooper is another of the Lions’ prized assets.

Asked about any contact for key members of his squad, Lions boss Rowett replied: “Not that I’m aware of. It’s a difficult window – I don’t think many want to spend the amounts to get one of our players who has performed really consistently and well.

“We’re sat in a really good position in the Championship and have got a lot to play for in the last 18 games. It would have to be some big numbers to even think about letting anyone go. I don’t think any club is likely to do that this window.

“I’m sure behind the scenes that one or two people are asking one or two questions, but certainly not directly to us about any player – which I’m grateful for.”
