Jean-Philippe Mateta scored a late equaliser as Crystal Palace started 2025 with a 1-1 draw against London rivals Chelsea on Saturday.
Cole Palmer gave the Blues the first-half lead – finishing off a cross from South Londoner Jadon Sancho in the 14th minute.
Palace drew level in the 82nd minute as Frenchman Mateta met Eberechi Eze’s pass along the face of goal to score.
