Lions hunting fourth league double over Rotherham – with hosts on brink of Championship relegation
Millwall will look to complete a fourth league double over Rotherham United – with this afternoon offering a chance for the South Londoners to stretch their gap over the bottom three.
The Lions drew 1-1 with West Bromwich Albion on Friday and are five points above the dropzone with seven matches remaining.
Rotherham are effectively doomed to relegation to League One but their fate can be mathematically confirmed this afternoon.
Millwall are unbeaten in six league matches against the Millers, winning four and drawing two.
“Eleven points from six games (gives) real confidence and belief in the group,” said Lions boss Neil Harris.
“I’m not going to get caught in the thought process that Rotherham are bottom of the league and we should win that game.
“They had a good point last time out before the international break. They will be trying to build some confidence.
“We have just got to concentrate on ourselves and being the best we can be. We’ll prepare exactly the same way we would for Leicester, Leeds, Southampton or West Brom. The preparation will be exactly the same for us.
“There are no must-win games for us at the moment. Every game is vital for us and that is to get points but also improve performances. That is what we’ll be looking to do Monday.”
