Millwall boss explains attacker’s absence from Sheffield United win
Millwall boss Alex Neil said that Aaron Connolly missed Tuesday night’s 1-0 win at Sheffield United due to an ankle injury.
The attacker joined from Sunderland in January and has made 12 appearances at The Den since arriving.
Connolly scored in the 2-1 win over QPR and played 82 minutes in the 2-1 win over Portsmouth before the clash at Brammall Lane.
He is out of contract this summer and was absent from the matchday squad against Chris Wilder’s side.
Neil told MillwallTV: “If you remember, he rocked his ankle towards the dugout in the last home game.
“He managed to get through that game.
“But unfortunately, it was enough to keep him out.”
