Millwall boss fears defender suffered “bit of whiplash” in loss at Rotherham United

Millwall head coach Neil Harris was unable to give a definitive answer on Murray Wallace’s injury issue after the defender was forced off during their 2-1 defeat at Rotherham on Easter Monday.

Wallace was replaced by Danny McNamara in the first half of the 2-1 defeat at The New York Stadium.

Harris said: “We will have to see how Murray is.

“His back seized up, so probably a bit of whiplash for Murray.

“We will have to see how he goes over the next couple of days. I brought him back in today as the left-footed full-back as we were without Joe Bryan, It’s a blow to lose both your natural left-backs.”

Joe Bryan was forced off during the draw with West Brom on Good Friday.

Harris said: “Joe is going to be out for a couple of weeks with a groin strain.”
