Millwall boss Harris looks ahead to Sheffield Wednesday game

BY RICHARD CAWLEY

Neil Harris reckons Sheffield Wednesday still pose a major threat to Millwall – even if the Yorkshire outfit have been hampered by a transfer embargo.

The Owls are now free to move in the market but had been unable to do transactions from April. It was only lifted a few days ago.

Wednesday have taken one point from a possible nine and lost 2-0 defeat at Brentford on Sunday.

Next up is Millwall at Hillsborough.

Lions manager Harris said: “I saw Sheffield Wednesday at Brentford. They have got some really, really top players at this level, really interesting ones.

“Probably in Forestieri and Bannan they have two of the best players in the division. It makes them a real threat going forward. Playing at home and under the lights, we have got to make sure we counter the threat and are at our best defensively.

“They are a decent team not playing with huge confidence at the moment, they have had some issues surrounding the transfer embargo. It is an opportunity for us to try and get at them. We’ll focus to make sure we are the best we can be.”
