Millwall boss Neil Harris wants Crystal Palace at The Den in FA Cup quarter-finals

BY RICHARD CAWLEY

Millwall manager Neil Harris would love to face Crystal Palace at The Den in the FA Cup quarter-finals – after his side came through today’s South London derby tie.

Murray Wallace’s early goal sealed a 1-0 victory over AFC Wimbledon.

And the Lions could face Palace if the latter win their fifth round tie at Doncaster tomorrow afternoon.

Millwall banked £360,000 from winning today’s tie, with further riches to come.

When asked about the financial injection, Harris said: “It’s massive. I’m pleased for the chairman and the board. They’ve put their own money into the club and don’t get any return for it. It’s not money we can spend at the moment, until the summer. But it cuts the losses and helps us moving forward.

“Be at home. No disrespect to Donny but if Palace get through tomorrow I’d love to play Palace at The Den.

“I want to avoid Man City if we can, no disrespect to Newport – don’t take that out of context.

“But to be at The Den – 20,000 of our fans to get the opportunity to see another FA Cup quarter final. I’d love to see that.”
