Millwall defender Byron Webster given all-clear to step up rehab

Millwall defender Byron Webster has been cleared to start training outside after a visit to a specialist this week.

The Lions centre-back is facing a battle to be fit again this season after suffering major knee damage which required surgery.

But Webster went back to see his surgeon on Monday and got given the green light to step up his rehabilitation.

“Byron has got the all-clear to join in outside training with the medical department,” said Lions manager Neil Harris. “He’s able to work back on the grass and that is a big hurdle to get back out there and feel like a footballer outside.

“When the boys are doing their warm-ups he will be on the pitch next to us, which is a great sight for everyone.”
