Millwall midfielder could miss Portugal training camp

Ryan Leonard could miss Millwall’s training camp in Portugal – because the club-record signing’s partner is due to give birth this week.
The former Southend United and Sheffield United midfielder played in Saturday’s 4-0 friendly win at Concord Rangers.
Any delay in the arrival of Leonard’s baby would see him stay behind in the UK.
“Ryan Leonard’s wife is pregnant and due this week,” said Lions manager Neil Harris. “If the baby has not arrived then he won’t be coming to Portugal.”
Shane Ferguson is back in full training this week and will be part of the travelling party. The left-footer had a later return date after being on international duty with Northern Ireland.
Tom Elliott will not be going to Portugal. The striker came off with a hamstring problem after 10 minutes at the weekend. He is due to have a scan today.
“He has had nearly 40 hours for it to settle down,” said Harris. “It was clear when he pulled up that he had felt a hamstring strain, so it would be a matter of weeks and not days.”
