Millwall v Birmingham: Aidomo Emakhu latest injury setback for Lions
Aidomo Emakhu is the latest injury blow for Millwall with the Republic of Ireland U21 international missing today’s Championship home game against Birmingham City.
Lions head coach Neil Harris has made three changes for the fixture at The Den.
Emakhu was subbed off at the interval in Tuesday’s 1-1 draw at Blackburn Rovers. Michael Obafemi, the man who replaced him in that match, starts today and leads the line.
But the hosts are still without two strikers – Kevin Nisbet and Tom Bradshaw – but club captain Shaun Hutchinson is back on the bench.
Joe Bryan starts at left-back with Danny McNamara dropping to a substitute. The other switch sees Duncan Watmore preferred to Ryan Longman.
Millwall: Sarkic, Leonard, Cooper, Tanganga, Bryan, Saville, Mitchell, Honeyman, Watmore, Flemming, Obafemi. Subs: Bialkowski, McNamara, Wallace, Hutchinson, Longman, Mayor, Norton-Cuffy, Esse.
Birmingham: Ruddy, Buchanan, Roberts, Bacuna, Miyoshi, Drameh, Paik, Stansfield, Pritchard, Sunjic, Aiwu. Subs: Etheridge, Laird, Roberts, Jutkiewicz, Dozzell, Dembele, James, Gardner, Hall.
