Millwall’s decision to play a day earlier can be an advantage heading into Norwich match

Neil Harris saw his Millwall side win on Friday night against QPR – and then admitted the fixture switch is a boost to their preparations for the New Year’s Day fixture at Norwich City.

Steve Morison’s first goal of the Championship season earned maximum points for the Lions, who now go hunting a maiden away win of the campaign.

Norwich play at 3pm at Burton Albion on Saturday afternoon.

When asked if the extra day is a benefit to the Lions, Harris said: “Well I do now.

“You think beforehand is bringing the game forward an error by me? But after getting the points then I think no, because we have got two days before going into Monday.”
