Nigel Adkins asked about chances of former Palace keeper rejoining Charlton Athletic

Nigel Adkins has remained coy on whether Stephen Henderson could land a Charlton Athletic return.

Our website broke the news that the 33-year-old Irishman, released by Crystal Palace in the summer, was training with the League One club.

Henderson made 54 appearances for the Addicks before joining Forest in 2014.

Charlton have loaned highly-rated young Aussie keeper Ashley Maynard-Brewer to Ross County to gain senior experience.

“Maybe we just need to get a bit of experienced cover further down the line,” said Adkins. “We’ll see what happens.

“There are a lot of things going on behind the scenes.”
