Non-league round-up: Dulwich Hamlet grounded by Concord as Bromley gear up for Yeovil in FA Cup

BY RICHARD CAWLEY

Dulwich Hamlet endured a night to forget as they suffered a 4-1 reverse to Concord Rangers – leaving them 19th in the National League South standings.

Reise Allassani had put the South Londoners ahead in the 10th minute at Champion Hill on Tuesday evening.

But Jason Raad and Alex Wall responded before the interval for the Essex outfit. Temi Babalola and Charlee Hughes also netted for the Beach Boys.

Concord had been hammered

6-0 by Maidstone in their previous fixture but roared back to record their first away success of 2020.

Dulwich are winless after four league outings and have no fixture this weekend due to Eastbourne Borough’s involvement in the FA Cup. They beat Hamlet in the fourth qualifying round towards the end of October.

Bromley host Yeovil tomorrow in the FA Cup and are looking to bounce back from a 2-1 reverse at the hands of Eastleigh last time out.

James Alabi bagged a late consolation for the Ravens. Ben House’s brace inflicted a second defeat on Neil Smith’s side in the National League.

“You’ve got to make sure when you make the chances you take them – and we didn’t,” said Smith.

“We’ve gifted them the ball for their goals. We’ve got to dust ourselves down – we’ve got a lot of games to go.”

The SCEFL Premier Division has suspended fixtures until December 2 following the FA’s decision to suspend ‘non-elite’ football.

Fisher’s final action before the shutdown was a penalty shootout defeat to Kennington in the FA Vase. Cedric Nganga netted in the 78th minute to wipe out Callum Peck’s fourth-minute opener.

But the hosts won 5-4 in the spot-kick decider.

Tom Read scored twice for Balham as they beat Bearsted 5-2 in the Premier Division. Jake Henry, James Murphy and Cam Gordon were also on target.

Lewisham Borough had a stalemate at Bridon Ropes in the First Division.
