Oliver Glasner delivers Crystal Palace injury news ahead of Man City – Key player returns and Marc Guehi update
Michael Olise will be included in the matchday squad for Crystal Palace’s Premier League clash at home to Manchester City on Saturday.
But Palace boss Oliver Glasner has confirmed the 22-year-old is only fit enough to play a maximum of 20 minutes against the league champions.
The Eagles have been without the French youngster since he picked up a hamstring injury in the 4-1 defeat at Brighton in early February.
This will be the first time Olise has featured in a matchday squad under Glasner.
“All the players who were in the squad for the last games are fit again,” said Glasner.
“Michael is coming back into the squad. We spoke with the medical team and the advice is for him to play around 15 to 20 minutes.
“He’s ready and it gives us one more option at the end of the game.
“We’re happy he’s back again.
“He’s not starting, so I don’t expect him to be at the best level after eight or nine weeks of injury. We hope that it is still a tight game at the end and he can maybe have one or two decisive situations to decide the game for us.
Marc Guehi had surgery on his knee after he suffered a hyper-extended knee injury in the defeat at the Amex.
The England international is yet to feature under the former Wolfsburg boss.
“He didn’t train with the team at the moment,” added the 50-year-old.
“I would say at least another two to three weeks.”
The Palace manager also confirmed that Chris Richards will miss the upcoming clashes against Manchester City and Liverpool with a knee injury.
