Palace and Millwall youngsters nominated for London Football Award

Crystal Palace’s Michael Olise and Millwall’s Billy Mitchell have been nominated for Men’s Young Player of the Year for this year’s London Football Awards.

The South London duo have been nominated alongside Arsenal trio Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli and William Saliba.

Conor Gallagher won the accolade last season for his performances while on loan at Selhurst Park, beating team-mate Tyrick Mitchell, Fabio Carvalho, Bukayo Saka and Oliver Skipp to the award.

Olise, 21, has made 23 appearances this season for the Eagles, scoring two goals and recording four assists under Patrick Vieira.

Mitchell has made 27 appearances this season under Gary Rowett in all competitions. The 21-year-old is closing in on his 100th Millwall appearance.

French U21 international Olise has also been nominated for Goal of the Season for his strike against Manchester United, which also won the Premier League goal of the month award.

The London Football Awards will take place on Monday, 13th March.
