Palace boss mindful of minutes for Colombian international Munoz during Marbella training camp
Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner has talked about managing the minutes of his players during their training camp in Marbella.
The Eagles defeated Ipswich Town 1-0 on Saturday to maintain their fine Premier League form but are not back in action until the FA Cup quarter-final tie at Fulham.
Palace will play a friendly against Hamarkameratene on March 13.
“We will go with 23 outfield players and three goalkeepers,” said Glasner. “We will use the training to find the right balance as we wait for the final call-ups to the national teams.
“We can expect Daniel Munoz to play both games for Colombia, so of course he won’t play 90 minutes in the friendly games.
“There will be many players – Matheus Franca, Caleb Kporha, Clyney – who didn’t get many minutes in the last weeks – Joel Ward comes back from injury. He will play a lot of time and the others maybe a little shorter.
“JP (Jean-Philippe Mateta) won’t play, definitely.”
