Player ratings from Fulham’s 0-0 draw with Brentford – Willian has an afternoon to forget but Diop and Bassey show partnership potential

The spoils were shared in the final west London derby of the season as Brentford and Fulham played out a goalless draw at the Gtech Community Stadium today.
Here are Dan Evans’ player ratings from the game.

Bernd Leno – 6

Not given any great trouble throughout. Made a bit of a hash of a couple of Brentford corners played into his six-yard box.

Timothy Castagne – 6

Another solid showing in a dependable season. Was beaten by Keane Lewis-Potter though at the end of the first half and had to be bailed out by Issa Diop.

Issa Diop – 7

Good showing as he works his way back into the team. Handled Ivan Toney well and ended up making 10 clearances to go with his two tackles, including one off the line.

Calvin Bassey – 7

Gets better and better with every game this season. Rarely looked troubled throughout and continues to look assured in possession.

Antonee Robinson – 7

Another who continued his very strong campaign. Provided attacking thrust down the left flank but also made three tackles and three interceptions.

Joao Palhinha – 6

Only three tackles for the midfield enforcer meant it was a relatively quiet afternoon for Palhinha. Sometimes slowed things down with ponderous passing.

Sasa Lukic – 6

Almost forced an early goal with a smart snap-shot. Otherwise another tidy display as he continues to make himself a more established part of the Fulham team

Alex Iwobi – 7

Looked like Fulham’s most promising source of a goal for most of the game. Flashed a shot over the bar and forced a save from Mark Flekken in the first half, and made four key passes. Had tired by the end though and wasted a good chance to cross at the end of a counter.

Andreas Pereira – 5
Never quite picked the right option when chances to attack opened up. One of his more frustrating days.

Willian – 4

Kept giving the ball away in dangerous areas and was lucky not to be punished for it when Bryan Mbeumo hit the crossbar at the end of one counterattack.

Rodrigo Muniz – 6

Put a shift in up front and tried his best to hold up play and link with others when the ball sparingly came his way. Best chance to score came and went when he headed an Iwobi cross at Flekken.

Adama Traore – 7
Added real energy to the game after replacing Willian. Caused havoc down the right and forced a good save from Flekken.

Raul Jimenez – 5

Missed a golden chance to win the game for Fulham following a cutback from Traore.

Tom Cairney – 6

Composure in possession helped Fulham slow things down and control the latter stages of the game.

Bobby De Cordova-Reid – 6

Picked up a few dangerous positions as the visitors pushed for a winner but never picked out by a team-mate.
