Roy Hodgson agrees to stay on as Crystal Palace boss

Roy Hodgson has agreed to stay on as Crystal Palace boss for next season.

The South London Press understands the 75-year-old, who will be 76 when the Eagles play Sheffield United in their first game of the 2023-24 season, will manage the club for the upcoming campaign.

Hodgson replaced Patrick Vieira for the final 10 games of the Premier League campaign and guided the club to safety. Hodgson won five of his 10 matches in charge – picking up 18 points in total – as the South Londoners finished 11 points above the bottom three.

Croydon-born Hodgson has had spells at Inter Milan, England, Liverpool, Blackburn and Fulham during his managerial career.

Hodgson has managed the Eagles 172 times already across two spells at Selhurst Park.
