Share your thoughts on Millwall owner John Berylson passing away
Following the death of the owner of Millwall football club, John Berylson, 70, we’re encouraging our readers to share their thoughts about the man who led the club.
Millwall fans have headed to The Den today to pay their respects to the chairman who passed away yesterday in a “tragic accident”.
Tributes have flowed in from the club’s fanbase and ex-players, including owners at other clubs.
Former Millwall winger Jed Wallace has travelled down to SE16 this morning to pay his respects to the American, who first became involved with the Lions in 2006.
And there has been an outpouring of grief from those who worked or dealt with Berylson. The Boston-based businessman made Millwall a stable club which has been a continual Championship play-off contender in recent seasons.
Wallace tweeted last night: “Leader, chairman & friend. Only a couple of weeks ago on the phone to hearing this shocking news I can’t imagine how everyone within in the club feels. Thank you for everything you did for me & my family Mr Chairman. Your legacy will live on forever.”
Please share your thoughts or memories of Mr Berylson and his death in the comments section below.
