Stoke boss: ‘Blackburn win means nothing if we fail to replicate that against Millwall’
Stoke City boss Narcis Pelach wants his side to back up their 2-0 midweek win over Blackburn Rovers with a similar performance against Millwall on Saturday.
The Potters have won back-to-back games under the former Norwich coach, with goals from Million Manhoef and Tom Cannon moving them up to 14th in the Championship table.
Neil Harris’ Lions are in the play-off places after Wednesday’s 1-0 win over Leeds and are unbeaten in their last four outings.
The South Londoners head to the Bet365 Stadium for the early kick-off on Saturday.
“It, of course, gives confidence,” Pelach explained of the win at Blackburn.
“Wins give us something extra, but at the end of the day, it’s just a win.
“We have to value the next game. The next thing now is Millwall, Millwall, Millwall.
“Three points is good, but the most important thing is to go into the next game and prepare well.
“We need to make sure we’re there on Saturday. It doesn’t mean anything to us if we’re not at our best level [against Millwall].”
