Three new opponents for Charlton’s 2024-25 League One season confirmed

Charlton Athletic will face three new teams in League One next season after Stockport, big-spending Wrexham and Mansfield all sealed up the automatic spots in League Two before the end of the campaign.

Stockport won League Two on Tuesday night after their 5-2 win at Notts County, with Dave Challinor’s side winning 26 of their 44 games in the fourth tier.

Mansfield are currently second, with two games remaining in the season. Stags boss Nigel Clough was named League Two Manager of the Year and three players made the Team of the Year at the EFL Awards.

Wrexham have achieved back-to-back promotions after winning the National League last season.

Former Charlton loanee Eliott Lee has been named in the League One Team of the Season and was also shortlisted for the Player of the Year award.

Carlisle United have already been relegated from League One.

Fleetwood are all but relegated after their 4-1 defeat away to Peterborough on Tuesday evening.

Port Vale and Cheltenham currently occupy the final two relegation spots in the third tier.
