Tottenham Hotspur v Crystal Palace team news: Andros Townsend misses out against former club

BY MATT WOOSNAM
Crystal Palace boss Roy Hodgson makes four changes for the trip to Tottenham Hotspur.

Scott Dann makes way for Martin Kelly at centre-back, whilst in midfield Max Meyer drops out for James McArthur after being hauled off at half-time in the 2-0 victory over Huddersfield on Saturday.

The final change sees Cheikhou Kouyate come in for Andros Townsend who is forced to settle for a spot on the bench against his former club after picking up a hand injury in the Huddersfield victory. That means Jeffrey Schlupp slots in on the left of a three-pronged attack with Wilfried Zaha moving to the right.

Palace have been far better on the road than at home this season, with their form over the past six away games the second best in the league and will be keen to spoil Spurs’ party in the first game at their new stadium.

Palace: Guaita, Wan-Bissaka, Tomkins, Kelly, Van Aanholt, McArthur, Milivojevic, Kouyate, Zaha, Batshuayi, Schlupp

Bench: Hennessey, Ward, Dann, Meyer, Townsend, Ayew, Benteke

Tottenham: Lloris, Trippier, Alderweireld, Vertonghen, Davies, Rose, Sissoko, Eriksen, Alli, Son, Kane
