Tyreece Campbell’s new Charlton contract details confirmed – with option to extend his Valley stay
Tyreece Campbell has signed a new Charlton Athletic contract.
The 20-year-old winger was due to be a free agent at the end of June although the Addicks would have still be due compensation due to his age.
But Campbell has penned a two-year contract extension with a club option of a further 12 months.
The academy product, who was nine when he joined the League One club, made 40 appearances in all competitions last season.
“I’ve enjoyed working under Nathan Jones,” Campbell told Charlton’s official website. “He demands a lot from us as players and he knows how to get the best out of us. I’ve been able to learn a lot.
“I’m really looking forward to next season already. The whole team is positive – we all have the same goal and hopefully we can achieve it.”
Charlton boss Jones added: “I’m delighted Tyreece has signed a new contract with the club. He’s a terrific young player with pace, skill and fantastic one-v-one ability.
“He’s been at the club a number of years, coming through the academy, and did well as one of our game changers towards the end of the season.
“I’m pleased I’ll be able to continue working with him and continuing to watch and support his development, as he has plenty of potential.”
