Update on Wilf Zaha and Jeffrey Schlupp – Roy Hodgson provides Crystal Palace injury news ahead of Fulham

Crystal Palace boss Roy Hodgson has confirmed that Wilfried Zaha and Jeffrey Schlupp will be missing for tomorrow’s game against Fulham.

Hodgson also confirmed that Zaha is likely to have played for the final time this season.

The Ivorian was forced off last weekend against Bournemouth in Palace’s 2-0 win due to a hamstring injury.

Zaha – out of contract this summer – has picked up three injuries since the World Cup break.

“I’m not sure you can ever be sure, but it is looking that way, I’m afraid,” said Hodgson when asked if Zaha was going to be able to feature in the final two games of the season.

“The injury seems to be more serious than we would like it to be, so I fear he is not likely to play again this season – but we can only hope.

“It’s a proper strain he’s got, and that normally doesn’t clear up in two weeks time. It takes a little bit longer than that. This game on Saturday, and the one in eight days time, will be too soon.”

Midfielder Jeffrey Schlupp also missed the win against the Cherries.

“No, not at the moment,” said Hodgson when asked if the former Leicester City man was fit for the trip to west London.

“He’s got a personal issue that means we can’t use him for the moment.”
