Wolves ready to ‘trigger’ QPR manager’s release clause

Wolverhampton Wanderers are reportedly set to trigger Queens Park Rangers boss Michael Beale’s release clause.

The 42-year-old joined Rangers in the summer from Aston Villa on a three-year contract succeeding Mark Warburton.

Reports have claimed that Beale is set to become the new Wolves manager. But he did take charge of the R’s 3-0 win over Cardiff City at Loftus Road which took them to the top of the Championship table.

TalkSPORT have reported that the Bromley-born, in Charlton Athletic’s academy as a youngster, is keen on making the switch to Molineux.

The west London club can do little to prevent Beale from taking the job as the former Liverpool coach has a release clause in his QPR contract.

Beale can also speak Portuguese from his time coaching at Sao Paulo, which will be a big positive for the Wolves squad due to a large number of them being Portuguese.
