Teenager rushed to hospital after Peckham Rye stabbing

A teenager was rushed to hospital last night after a stabbing in Peckham Rye.

The Met confirmed a 15-year-old boy was taken to a hospital by the London Ambulance Service after they were called at around 8pm.

A cordon was put up in an alleyway opposite Bournemouth Road, off Rye Lane, where the stabbing is believed to have taken place.

A Met spokesman said: “Police were called shortly after 8pm on Tuesday, February 21 to reports of a male stabbed in Rye Lane.

“Officers attended and found a 15-year-old boy injured. He was taken to hospital by the London Ambulance Service. His condition was assessed as not life-threatening. 

“A crime scene is in place.

“There have been no arrests and enquiries continue.”
