Eltham student heads to Oxford University after getting impressive A Level results

A student from Eltham has got into Oxford following her impressive A level results.

Claramae Flemming from Eltham Hill Sixth Form has successfully gained a place to read Economics and Management at Oxford University.

Another student from the school, Shanelle Kulkarni, will be studying Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Imperial College, London.

The school matched their outcomes from last year with 79 per cent A*-B grades and 43 per cent A*-A grades at A-Level.

In A-Level Art, Drama, Economics, English Literature and Media all students received A*-B grades.

They also had a record number of double D* grades in all BTEC courses.

A spokesman from the school said: “Despite the difficulties they faced, all our Year 13 students worked really hard and their outcomes reflect the excellent teaching they received as well as the determination and resilience they applied to their studies. 

“Congratulations to all of them and we wish them all the best in their chosen next steps.”
