Bournemouth v Crystal Palace: Max Meyer starts for Eagles

BY RICHARD CAWLEY

Crystal Palace manager Roy Hodgson has made one change for tonight’s Premier League match at AFC Bournemouth – with Max Meyer starting ahead of fellow summer arrival Cheikhou Kouyate.

The German midfielder gets the nod as the Eagles go hunting a third away victory after previous successes over Fulham and Huddersfield Town. Wilfried Zaha has scored in all three of their matches on the road.

The Eagles have lost just one of their last five away games against the Cherries – winning and drawing two apiece.

Bournemouth have made two changes following their 4-0 defeat to Burnley.

Diego Rico (hamstring) misses out and is replaced by Simon Francis. Lewis Cook is preferred in midfield ahead of Andrew Surman, who drops to the bench.

Crystal Palace: Hennessey, Wan Bissaka, Tomkins, Sakho, Van Aanholt, Meyer, Milivojevic, McArthur, Townsend, Ayew, Zaha. Subs: Ward, Kouyate, Sorloth, Schlupp, Guaita, Kelly, Puncheon.

AFC Bournemouth: Begovic, Smith, S Cook, Ake, Francis, Brooks, Lerma, Surman, Fraser, Wilson, King. Subs: Boruc, Gosling, Surman, Mousset, Defoe, Stanislas, Rico.
