Man in ‘life threatening’ condition after horror stabbing

A man has been left in a “life threatening” condition after a stabbing in Nunhead last night with the attacker still on the loose.

Police were called at around 9.20pm to reports of a stabbing in Nunhead Green, near to the junction with Gordon Road.

Officers attended along with the London Ambulance Service. A man in his 20s was found with stab wounds.

He was taken to hospital where he remains in a life-threatening condition. His next of kin have been informed.

A statement from the Met said: “An investigation is under way and enquiries are ongoing. There have been no arrests.

“Any witnesses are asked to call 101 quoting CAD 7706/25Jun. To remain anonymous contact the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
