Charlton Athletic are continuing their search to revamp their goalkeeper department over the summer transfer window, with the Addicks interested in out-of-contract stopper Adam Davies.

The imminent planned takeover at Sheffield United has put Davies’ contract talks on hold with the now Championship side, and Charlton are eyeing a move for the Wales goalkeeper.

Davies has featured 11 times for the Blades after signing from Stoke City in January 2022.

The 31-year-old has featured five times for Wales at international level.

Davies played more than 200 games for Barnsley and also had a spell at Sheffield Wednesday.

Nathan Jones’ side are intent on bringing in two goalkeepers in the summer transfer window, but Harry Isted and Ashley Maynard-Brewer are both under contract for next season.

The South Londoners are well-placed to sign Will Mannion as a free agent from Cambridge United.
