Battersea’s Harris Academy delights in its star pupils

The Harris Academy in Battersea is celebrating what it declared to be a ‘brilliant set of results’, with outcomes in maths particularly impressive – almost half the cohort gaining an A* or A grade in the subject.

One student also achieved the top A* grade in further maths. Jayden Truong obtained A*, A*, A grades in maths, further maths and physics and will be heading to Bath University to pursue a mathematics degree.

Other successes include Yasmine Riane, who has secured A*, A, A grades in English literature, politics and Spanish and will be attending the University of York to study social and political sciences, while Alisha Fraser, who gained three A grades in economics, maths and Geography, will be continuing her geography studies at the London School of Economics.

Charlie Comerford, head of academy at Harris Academy, Battersea, said: “We are delighted that our students’ continued hard work has translated into such an excellent set of A-level results.

“I have every confidence that our students will thrive at their chosen universities, and I wish them the very best of luck in the future.”
