ChatGPT ranks Greenwich as the best place in South London

An artificial intelligence chat robot has ranked Greenwich as the “best place” in South London.

The chatbot uses data fed by its programmers and an enormous amount of information from the internet to provide answers to questions, as well as performing functions such as writing computer code and answering emails.

When the South London Press asked ChatGPT where the best place in South London was, it provided a ranked list of five areas, with Greenwich taking the top spot.

It said: “Greenwich: This historic area is home to the Royal Observatory, Greenwich Park and the famous Cutty Sark ship. It also offers stunning views of the River Thames.”

Brixton came in second place, with the AI bot saying: “This vibrant neighbourhood is known for its bustling street markets, trendy cafes and restaurants, and live music scene.”

Clapham was ranked third, while Crystal Palace and Dulwich came fourth and fifth respectively.

Of Dulwich, it said: “This affluent area is home to Dulwich Picture Gallery, the world’s first purpose-built public art gallery, as well as a charming village-like atmosphere with plenty of green spaces, cafes, and boutique shops.”

The chatbot added that its decision-making process was not based on personal opinion but based on the areas’ “popularity and positive reviews”.
