Cats and Dogs exhibition opening at the Horniman Museum
Have you ever wondered what life is like for your pet?
A new exhibition Cats and Dogs opening tomorrow at the Horniman Museum can give you the answer.
This immersive exhibition explores the scientific, social and cultural role that cats and dogs play in our world, and invites visitors to go on an exciting, sensory journey, exploring what it’s like to be a cat or a dog.
From studying animal behaviour to examining human relationships with our feline friends and devoted doggos, visitors can enjoy games and simulations that put them in each animal’s paws to better understand them and their behaviour.
Principal Curator of Natural Sciences at the Horniman Jo Hatton said: “This lively interactive exhibition takes us on a journey into the wonderful world of cats and dogs, from their early domestication to the extraordinary diversity of size, shape and abilities we see today.
“The family-friendly exhibition reveals new insights into their behaviour, how these incredible animals make sense of the world, and how they learn and communicate with each other and ourselves.
“It’s a celebration of the love we have for them, the relationships and roles they play in our lives and how this has transformed through space and time.”
Cats and Dogs is open from Saturday, February 12 to Sunday, October 30 2022.
