93-year-old woman dies after being hit by a van in Croydon
Police are calling for witnesses to contact them after a 93-year-old-woman died in a collision in Croydon yesterday.
Police were called by the London Ambulance Service at around 4:30pm on Wednesday, December 15 following reports of a collision in Addington Road, South Croydon involving a van and a pedestrian.
The 93-year-old woman, who was the pedestrian, was found with serious injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Her family has been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.
The driver of the van stopped at the scene. There have been no arrests.
Enquiries are ongoing, led by officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit based at Catford.
They are appealing for any witnesses who are yet to speak to the police to come forward by calling 020 8285 1574, providing the reference 5175/15DEC.
In particular, they would like to hear from anyone who may have captured the incident on dash cam or other camera footage.
