Arrest made after racist graffiti appears at Dulwich Hamlet ground
Police investigating racist graffiti that was written on a sign at Dulwich Hamlet FC’s ground have made an arrest.
Between Sunday, July 21, and Friday, August 9, a man repeatedly wrote grossly offensive racist remarks on an entrance sign at the Champion Hill stadium.
On Thursday of last week, officers arrested a 64-year-old man on suspicion of racially aggravated criminal damage and displaying writing with intent to stir up racial hatred.
He was taken to a South London police station before being bailed pending further enquiries.
The club has been notified.
