Man, 24, charged with murder after woman found stabbed to death

A 24-year-old man has been charged with murder after a woman was stabbed to death in a house on Wednesday night.

Joshua Michals, of Deals Gateway, Deptford, was charged on Friday. He appeared in custody at Bromley Magistrates’ Court on Saturday.

He has been remanded in custody and is set to appear at the Old Bailey tomorrow.

A murder investigation was launched after the Met were called at around 11.15pm to reports of a stabbing at a house in Manor Park, Hither Green.

Police arrived at the scene with paramedics and forced entry to the address.

A 31-year-old woman was found injured inside. Despite the efforts of the emergency services, she died at the scene a short time later.

The victims next of kin have been informed and they will be supported by family liaison officers, the Met said.

Formal identification has not yet taken place.
