Man dies after a collision involving a car and a pedestrian in Sidcup

A man in his 40s has died after being involved in a traffic accident in Sidcup last night.

Around 8pm on October 20, police, the London Ambulance service and the London Air Ambulance were called to reports of a collision involving a car and a pedestrian in Maidstone Road, Sidcup.

The man, who is thought to be in his mid 40s, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police believe he is originally be Romania, but have not yet confirmed his identity.

The driver of the car stopped at the scene and no arrests have been made.

Detectives from the Met’s Serious Collison Investigation Unit are appealing for information and witnesses of the collision.
