Person dies in Kensington flat fire

A person has died following a flat fire in Kensington.

The London Fire Brigade were called to North End Road at around 3pm yesterday to reports of a fire.

The brigade said half of a flat on the sixth floor of a building was damaged by fire.

Firefighters found a person inside the property, but they were pronounced dead at the scene.

The fire was under control at around 4pm.

Fire crews from Fulham, Hammersmith, Kensington, Wandsworth, Battersea and north Kensington fire stations attended the incident.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
