Police begin man hunt after woman stabbed multiple times in back in Greenwich
Police are looking for a man after a woman was stabbed in the back in Greenwich on Monday September 10.
Officers are warning members of the public not to approach Peter Morley, 35, but to contact the police if he is seen.
At around 9:30am the force were called to reports of a stabbing in Anglesea Road.
At the scene a woman, believed in her 30s, was found suffering from a number of stab wounds to her back.
She was taken by London’s Air Ambulance to a central London hospital. At this early stage it is not believe that her injuries will be life threatening.
Mr Morley is wanted in connection to this incident.
Detective Chief Inspector Lesley Hamilton of Greenwich Police said: “It is important that we locate Mr Morley quickly and without further incident and I urge anyone who sees him not to hesitate but to call police without delay.
“Officers remain at the scene and additional patrols are being conducted to provide reassurance to the public while the search for Peter Morley is undertaken.”
