Three charged in murder of 21-year-old in Eltham

Detectives investigating the death of a 21-year-old man in Eltham have charged three people with his murder.

Yusuf Aydin, 21, of Greenwich, Jack Davies, 19, of Greenwich, and a 16-year-old boy appeared at Bromley Magistrates’ Court on Saturday, February 12, charged with murder.

They were remanded in custody to appear at the Old Bailey on Tuesday, February 15.

Officers begun a murder investigation following the death of Bartosz Wyrzykowski – known as Bartek – in Eltham on Tuesday, February 8.

Police were called at around 5pm to reports of a stabbing in Lionel Road.

When police and paramedics arrived they found Mr Wyrzykowski with stab wounds.

He was treated at the scene and taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later.

His next of kin continue to be supported by officers from the Met’s Specialist Crime Command.

A post-mortem examination carried out at Greenwich Mortuary on Friday, 11 February, gave his cause of death as a stab wound to the pelvis.

A 21-year-old woman and a 17-year-old girl have been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender. They have been bailed pending further enquiries.
