Two arrests made in the hunt for Patrick Gomes De’Almeida’s killer after he was stabbed to death in Morden

Two men have been arrested on suspicion of murder after a man was found stabbed to death in Morden last Thursday.

Patrick Gomes De’Almeida, 25, was found by emergency services outside a block of flats in London Road with stab wounds, alongside another man also with stab wounds.

Patrick was pronounced dead at the scene at around 11.30pm.

The second man, aged 33, was taken to hospital where his injuries were assessed as not life-threatening.

Yesterday, a 33-year-old man was arrested at Heathrow Airport and a 28-year-old man at an address in Croydon.

They were arrested on suspicion of murder, causing grievous bodily harm, aggravated burglary and kidnap.

Both were taken to a South London police station where they remain in custody.
