Woman hospitalised after broad daylight stabbing

A woman was hospitalised after she was stabbed on Friday morning.

Police were called to Lewisham Way at around 9am to reports of a stabbing.

Officers attended the scene alongside colleagues from the London Ambulance Service who treated a woman in her 30s for stab injuries.

The woman was taken to a near-by hospital where her condition was later assessed as not life-threatening or life-changing, police said.

One man has been arrested in connection to the incident. He has since been bailed pending further enquiries.

Officers are carrying out enquiries into the circumstances.

A  Met spokesman said: “If you have any information about the incident then please come forward to police quoting CAD1891/24MAY24.”
